The steel arc lamp is an exploratory lighting object focused on the expressive potential of bent and welded steel. Through variations in arc geometry and joint detailing, the piece investigates how a simple structural material can be transformed into a fluid, sculptural form while maintaining its inherent strength and rigidity.

Scope:
Material exploration, metal forming, welding studies, and prototype fabrication.
